RESTOR
Finally, the opportunity for freedom from reading glasses and bifocals. Until recently, life without reading glasses or bifocals wasn’t an option for most cataract patients. You now have that option. The AcrySof® IQ ReSTOR® is a unique technological innovation that can provide you with enhanced image quality and a full range of vision – near, far and everywhere in-between – for increased independence from reading glasses or bifocals!
Introducing a breakthrough in vision surgery. Now there’s a revolutionary new way to potentially leave your glasses behind forever – the innovative AcrySof® IQ ReSTOR® intraocular lens (IOL), the latest advancement in cataract surgery technology. The AcrySof® IQ ReSTOR® IOL has been uniquely designed to provide enhanced image quality and a full range of vision – up close, far away and everything in-between – giving cataract patients the best opportunity to live life free of glasses.
Crystalens
Crystalens is an accommodating intraocular lens that, unlike a standard intraocular lens (IOL), can treat both a person’s cataracts and presbyopia-loss of near and intermediate vision. Crystalens not only treats cataracts (a clouding or hardening of the lens), but can also reduce or eliminate the dependence on glasses. It does so by recreating accommodation similar to the eye’s natural lens. Crystalens was modeled after the human eye. Like the natural lens, it uses the eye muscle to flex and accommodate in order to focus on objects in the environment at all distances. Crystalens dynamically adjusts to the individual’s visual needs.
Cataract Removal with Lens Implant
Many people consider poor vision an inevitable fact of aging, but cataract surgery is a simple, relatively painless procedure to regain vision. Cataract surgery is very successful in restoring vision. In fact, it is the most frequently performed surgery in the United States, with more than 3 million Americans undergoing cataract surgery each year. Nine out of 10 people who have cataract surgery regain very good vision, somewhere between 20/20 and 20/40. During surgery, the surgeon will remove your lens and in most cases replace it with a clear, plastic intraocular lens (IOL).
TORIC
With the combined benefits of toricity and asphericity, the AcrySof® IQ Toric lens truly offers the best of both worlds:
Astigmatism Correction
- Unique toric design offers astigmatism patients the best opportunity for spectacle-independent distance vision
- AcrySof® single-piece platform ensures exceptional rotational stability, with less than 4º average rotation 6 months after implantation
- Range of cylinder powers includes patients with lower levels of astigmatism
Visual Performance
- Proven aspheric technology reduces spherical and higher order aberrations
- Aspheric optic offers increased contrast sensitivity and improved functional vision in challenging environments
- Proprietary blue light-filtering chromophore filters more than UV
