Emergency Medicine

We hope you never need a trip to the emergency room, but if an injury requires immediate care, the Community Hospital Emergency Department is ready.  From sprains and strains to broken bones or abdominal pain, the Community Hospital Emergency Department will quickly evaluate, diagnose, and stabilize any patient suffering from an acute illness or injury.

Community Hospital’s Emergency Department staff is specially trained and available 24 hours a day.  Patients with medical emergencies will be assessed and treated by qualified medical personnel, including physician’s assistants (PAs).  When a physician is not on-site, support is available via telephone or pager.  There is an emergency physician on-call at all times.

To ensure you receive the most appropriate care possible, Community Hospital has transfer agreements with other area hospitals.  This ensures you always receive the appropriate level of care if the service you need is unavailable at Community Hospital.
